30/1/26 Classic ( cars pre 1974 )
As the tyres were had used in previous years were no longer going to be made a decision was made that you could use any black rubber tyre but the rule still remained that the tyres must still be not glued to the wheels would this make a difference to the lap times? In heat 3 Robbo took an advantage over Alex and the rest of the field, Alex had a reasonable start but was getting the grip he want from his tyres where Robbo could putting in consistent 7.1 second laps and won the first heat, but he knew once Alex got to grips ( yes a pun intended ) with his tyres he would claw back into Robbos lead and by their 3rd heat against each other they were neck and neck, after a crash out by Robbo and marshals took an age to put him back in slot Alex seized the opportunity to lead and eventually win the night but the Bulldog Robbo gave him a good run. Terry ( Tez the Gnome) had a good run on the original grey tyres we used last year with solid 5th ( psr grey tyres last years tyres we are allowing races to use them if the wish for this year however most are using any black rubber tyre) and for the first time gets the driver of the night, by the way his favourite saying " that's cost me the night" but he shares the honers of driver of the night with young William and his mum Nicky for thier valiant efforts in thier racing especially Nicky being the only female she took it in her stride well done to all. Sadly Robert dropped out due to feeling cold at the club, it's not the warmest place in winter months.
