National GT3
Gt3 night and we saw a bunch of cartoon characters turned up to race. The club gt3 night was swopped with DTM so the lads could prepare for the national gt3 round at south Manchester on the weekend. It's one our fastest classes where if you are not putting in sub 6.9 seconds laps you are not going to be in the top 6 racers. The guys podium however were doing average lap times of 6.7. Both Alex and Dean were never far from each other all night putting fast laps even though Robbo was also putting in quite fast laps was not in the league of those pair. Terry 4th also had good night almost catching Robbo. Deano( Dean Byatt too many Deans) really had good night and took driver of the night for his battling throughout the night
24/04/26 GT3 (Ran to national GT3 rules)
This week Mark showed everyone a masterclass in racing slot cars. Everyone was in awe and the words legend and legendary were mentioned more than once. The calls to parade him around Longton on the shoulders of the lesser racers were considered, but ultimately was stopped due to health and safety concerns. He truly is a hero and role model to all.
Alex had an uncharacteristic false start, an off and a couple of assisted offs. In one heat Alex and Dean seemed too concerned racing each other for position that this allowed Mark to pull another half lap on both of them. This also allowed Devon to take second position by a narrow margin.
Driver of the night was given to Mark, however Kerry also has to be recognized for a great improvement in racing.
Slot.it Group C next week and what will ultimately be a return to reality for Mark.

Gt3 night run under the same rules as the National Gt3 which half the members enter.
As you can imagine it was fast night of racing and if you were not doing sub 7 second laps you were not going to be in top 10 and to be in the top 4 you needed to be doing constantly 6.5 seconds laps.
2nd placed Gaz returned after not racing at the club for nearly 11 months and showed he still got what it takes to be at the top. Devon, Alex, Gaz and Dean were talking as to who would come where but they had forgotten about the bull dog Robbo being added into thier mix. Alex pulled out an early lead after the first races making Devon and Gaz up their racing but when Alex raced the white lane and he lost his 2 lap lead saying he had no grip whats so ever ( most would still like to his constant 7 second lap times on white) this allowed Devon and Gaz to slightly pass him
Dean had a couple of offs dropping him Down the order slightly. After dropping a race after racing on white ( due to how the computer works out the races) Robbo returned on black lane and put in some fast laps to bring him into to a possible podium finishe. As you see from the results the top 3 were separated by just 0.157 of lap distance.
Further down the field both Tony and Tez were battling it out together. Sadly Kerry had a wire come out in one heat and that put paid to her chances of not coming last.
The top 6 racers were racing with scaleauto cars all but Dean using a scalauto porsche ( 5th place) thr rest of the top 6 use scaleauto Vipers
